Southwest Public Schools proudly participated in the inaugural Region 4 ESC Spanish Spelling Bee, marking a historic milestone for bilingual education. Among the 35 outstanding students competing in the elementary and junior high divisions, 5 students won at the campus level and represented SWPS regionally, showcasing their dedication and linguistic skills for a chance to advance to state—and possibly national—competition. With strong support from parents, educators, and representatives from 10 local districts and charter schools, the event highlighted the importance of Spanish language learning. ¡Felicidades a todos los participantes!
