CONGRATULATIONS Ms. Alonso!! The 2023 bilingual teacher of the year, here at Southwest Schools. We would like to take this moment to give you a big-o thumbs up for being awesome at what you do. Thank you, teachers and staff for always being awesome, each and everyday. But lets all give a very special thanks to Ms. Alonso for being recognized as this year's Bilingual teacher here at Southwest schools Bissonnet Elementary.
Thank you dads and students for attending our Daddy-Daughter Dance here in our campus. This event was hosted solely for fathers and daughters on this month of February. To dance with your princess on a once in a life time event, eat, drink, and just have a great time in general. Thank you all for attending and we hope that you all have a great year at Bissonnet Elementary.

HAPPY 100TH day of SCHOOOL!!!! On 02/07/2023, we celebrated our 100th day of school here at Southwest Schools Bissonnet Elementary. Dressing up, in decoration, or something or other, every one of our young students from Pre-K to 2nd took to the stage (the campus K-5 building) and went around showing how much they've grown throughout these 100 days of school. Not to say they actually became old, but it sometimes does feel like we do even without noticing it. It's important to count those small victories for both student and staff. There are still plenty more school going forward, but lets not forget that we've made it this far kids, its just a bit more until the end of this school year. So keep on being awesome everyone!!

Thank you to our counselors for their continuous attention to our students' needs and for helping them achieve their academic goals. Gracias a nuestros consejeros por su continua atención a las necesidades de nuestros alumnos y por ayudarles a alcanzar sus metas académicas.
This is a continuation post for the Science Lab with Rice University. Again thank you very much for comming here and teaching our students from 3rd-5th about the difference in chemical changes. I would also like to give a special thank you to Ms. Johnson, Ms. Riquelme, and all the other staff involved in making all of this happen, thank you all very much.
Thank you Rice University for coming to our campus, and teaching us all about chemical changes. Everyone of our students here in our school was amazed at all the changes occurred during each experiment, that the shock was easily seen on their faces. Learning new things, seeing something different occurring when you put two (or in the other experiment three) together. Again thank you all very much, for this special once in a life time science lab session here in our Bissonnet Campus.

Career Connection Day 2023 at Discovery Middle School was a success! The 8th grade students had the opportunity to engage with Bridge Year to gain hands-on experience in 6 high-growth, high-demand careers.
