Southwest Public Schools recently hosted its inaugural districtwide Gifted and Talented (GT) showcase, displaying the creativity of our elementary students. Presenting to district leaders, principals, and proud family members, students unveiled projects focused on endangered animals and actionable steps to preserve them, alongside tributes to impactful individuals. The event, a culmination of students' efforts after becoming finalists at their respective campuses, resulted in the awarding of trophies to participants. Gratitude was extended to Board members, Mr. Daggett and Mr. Saenz, who served as judges. Looking ahead, the district aims to extend participation to secondary students in the forthcoming year, further providing opportunities for our GT students to shine!
