Greetings parents, yesterday on 03/28/2023, students from both Ms. Orosco and Ms. Quinteros classrooms, were allowed to play with 3 new tricycles while at recess! That's rignt folks "we..got...WHEELS!!!" Specifically for our younger students in Pre-K, but all in all it's awesome. They were delighted to have them, with the help of both teachers and aids (Ms. Tammy and Ms. Aguilar) students took turns riding the bikes while in the playground. Furthermore, this is only the first step to some new playground equipment that will be available for our younger students, so stay tuned everyone and lets all have an AMAZING school year!!

Hello Bissonnet parents, teachers, and staff; the time has come again to "GIVE BLOOD." In honor of David Larin, the 4th grade student here in our campus. Scan the QR code bellow and schedule an appointment. Give blood to the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center whom will be arriving on April 10 from 8:30am-12:00pm, here at the Bissonnet Campus. Any blood donated is another life saved, so don't wait scan the QR code on the flyer and and donate blood!! Hope to see you all soon.

Please don't forget to bring any necessary documentation so that the folks from the Harris County Public Health can assist you in getting any financial/healthcare needs. Thank you parents, students, and staff for making time from your busy schedules and attending the Tittle III Family Event at Southwest Schools Bissonnet Elementary. And a special thank you to all the folks at the Houston Library for coming to our school and reading to all our students on this day. Coloring, reading, and just being merry, these would be the best description for this event. Here in Southwest Schools we always try to come up with events for all families to attend and this one is no different. What better way for a child to be with a parent other than a book...Thank you all for attending this event here in Southwest Schools Bissonnet Elementary.
This is a BIG shout out to all of you students with a perfect attendance hear at Bissonnet Elementary. "Thank you very much for not missing a day of learning!" We hope you all enjoyed this much deserved treat from us to you. Thank you all very much. As for the rest of the students that were not able to attend, please do your best as to not miss another day. We know that everyone has their circumstance, where one would not be able to attend. Nonetheless, we encourage you to please not miss another day if it can be helped. Regardless, here in Bissonnet Elementary would like to give a BIIG thank you to all of you students with and without a perfect attendance for being here and choosing to come to our school and hope to have an awesome rest of the year with you all.

The Book Fair is coming to Bissonnet Elementary on the week of March 20-24, 2023 in the library. Students will visit the book fair during their ancillary time with Mrs. Jones. Pre-K will visit the book fair on Wednesday from 8:30-9:30. We will also have a book fair parent event on Wednesday March 22, 2023, from 3:45-5:00 in the library, so that parent can come shop at the book fair as well. Students will need at least $3 to purchase. This year we have the chance to participate in the ALL FOR BOOKS program where students can donate coins to get materials for the library. Please encourage students to bring in their coins for all for books. Ms. Davis will go around to classes on Monday to show a demonstration about all for books and show some of the books that will be at the fair.
