HAPPY 100TH day of SCHOOOL!!!! On 02/07/2023, we celebrated our 100th day of school here at Southwest Schools Bissonnet Elementary. Dressing up, in decoration, or something or other, every one of our young students from Pre-K to 2nd took to the stage (the campus K-5 building) and went around showing how much they've grown throughout these 100 days of school. Not to say they actually became old, but it sometimes does feel like we do even without noticing it. It's important to count those small victories for both student and staff. There are still plenty more school going forward, but lets not forget that we've made it this far kids, its just a bit more until the end of this school year. So keep on being awesome everyone!!

This is a continuation post for the Science Lab with Rice University. Again thank you very much for comming here and teaching our students from 3rd-5th about the difference in chemical changes. I would also like to give a special thank you to Ms. Johnson, Ms. Riquelme, and all the other staff involved in making all of this happen, thank you all very much.
Thank you Rice University for coming to our campus, and teaching us all about chemical changes. Everyone of our students here in our school was amazed at all the changes occurred during each experiment, that the shock was easily seen on their faces. Learning new things, seeing something different occurring when you put two (or in the other experiment three) together. Again thank you all very much, for this special once in a life time science lab session here in our Bissonnet Campus.

Career Connection Day 2023 at Discovery Middle School was a success! The 8th grade students had the opportunity to engage with Bridge Year to gain hands-on experience in 6 high-growth, high-demand careers.

Daddies of Bissonnet Elementary it is time to put your best foot forward, and join your daughters in a dance. Starting on 02/09/2023, this first time event will be from 5:00pm-6:15pm. There will be a DJ, refreshments, and a photo booth available. Tickets sold at $5 for a dad and daughter duo $7 for more than one daughter. Payments will be received at the front office. Only up to 150 seats available.
To all students in this campus, if you already have a hotspot please return your current one along with the charger it came with and parents sign for a new one that will be assigned to you. We are recalling all student hotspots! We are available to do this any day during the school day from 7:30am-3:00pm. See you all soon!!
